instead of studying.i've been reading up on the restaurants ive heard about, been interested about, and wanna eat at.i'll start with the cheapest to the most expensive(it'll also probabaly be the order in which i can go XD) 1.Canele. they've got quite a few outlets already.it's this place which sells delicate pastries and cakes.and their famed macaroons(going for $2something a pop) 2.Hotpot culture it's like steamboat buffet at $20.couldnt be lousier than seoul garden.i think.though i'll have to go check it out one of these days. 3.Fosters-an english rose cafe it's the corner on holland v under the party shop.scones! 4. Flutes at the fort located at fort canning this place probably scores really high for scenery.and im quite a sucker for good ambience.they've got a set lunch for $35++ which is really cheap.though the place would be nicer at night. 5 Yan Ting at St Regis. well.it's at st regis so i'd be expecting really good dimsum.and apparently it isnt that expensive! 6.Mimolette another place with great ambience.it's at fairways drive and it looks great in and out.but it'll be about $100 per person. 7. Raffles grill yeah.well.it's like over $200 per person.but ive gotta check it.sometime...dresscodes and goodfood! HOWEVER 2 have been axed from my list after horrible reviews .and they're bed supperclub and timbre.you've been warned.they have nice ambience no doubt.but their service sucks. timbre has nice music, nice alfresco place to chill.but their service stinks. which is the same for bed supperclub.cool concept.i really wanted to go.(even for the hefty cost of 200+) for dinner.but so many reviews of wayy bed service.so as much as this place sounds interesting, getting annoyed with lousy waiters with attitude, is not worth it.
and my stomach is making alot of noise now after talking about all the good food.even after the extra bowl of rice i had for lunch.(which everyone thought i couldnt finish and they were wrong!i even had an extra bowl of soup! (: ) as oliver and the boys go... "Food, glorious food! What wouldn't we give for That extra bit more -- That's all that we live for" |
