training today was a real killer.if you dont know what men sound like when in they're in labour you should drop by sometime.grunts and shouts and growls.it was THAT tiring.and i had hiccups after training.hiccups are annoying enough on its own.but hiccups after training.i didnt even have energy to hiccup.it was a painful process.extremely awkward i must add.

anyhow.i ate cold storage pizza yesterday.and i must say.it's not bad.it's no gourmet pizza, but for $4.it's great.

DSC_1304 (993 x 660) DSC_1305 (752 x 500)

they were really generous with the ingredients and i definitely appreciated that.i hate pizzas with lotsa crust and a layer of ingredients thinner than an anorexic nicole richie. a whole pizza for $3.90's really quite a steal.though they did put too much capsicum.

i wanna check out tinhill which sits at the end of sixth ave to bukit timah near where corduroy and finch used to be.it's like some asian and western food.and the decor looks nice.

Because you're hoping you're wrong. And every time he does something that tells you he's no good, you ignore it. And every time he comes through and suprises you, he wins you over, and you lose that argument with yourself, that he's not for you.

DOOMSDAY flicks

you know how i always say i love doomsday movies, like the day after tomorrow, the core and my favourite , armageddon.

yeah well.today i watched volcano.which is not quite a doomsday movie but another of those mother nature getting pms movies.

and there's always sacrifice and the display of human spirit.which  make me go "yeahh right"(cynicism?). or we could also call it stupidity.i'd pack and run.but that's me. like jaye's(the doctor) fiance asks her, are you gonna stay here and die for all these strangers? she did stay btw, though she didnt die.and he left.in shows like these, he looks like the bad guy.but in reality wouldnt you want your loved ones outta all that danger?and the people fighting the lava in volcano, i'm no doctor, but imagine all the respiratory problems they'd develop from breathing volcano ash!

and in armageddon, bruce willis sacrifices himself for ben affleck, who's his son in law in the movie to detonate the bomb to prevent the asteroid from crashing into earth instead of letting affleck die while detonating the bomb on the asteroid.well.i guess this is a little more believable since affleck's supposed to be his son-in-law...

though i'd wonder if willis would be willing to die for kutcher.

his exwife's husband who's young enough to be his son-in-law.the age difference between willis' daughter rumer(who acted in housebunny, and no,she wasnt any of the hot girls) and ashton kutcher is 10 years, 6 years less than that of rumer willis' mum moore and kutcher, who have 16 years between them.i mean why not!the big family's always seen so chummy with each other.

okay.that was confusing.haha.

Food, glorious food!

instead of studying.i've been reading up on the restaurants ive heard about, been interested about, and wanna eat at.i'll start with the cheapest to the most expensive(it'll also probabaly be the order in which i can go XD)

1.Canele.

they've got quite a few outlets already.it's this place which sells delicate pastries and cakes.and their famed macaroons(going for $2something a pop)

2.Hotpot culture

it's like steamboat buffet at $20.couldnt be lousier than seoul garden.i think.though i'll have to go check it out one of these days.

3.Fosters-an english rose cafe

it's the corner on holland v under the party shop.scones!

4. Flutes at the fort

located at fort canning this place probably scores really high for scenery.and im quite a sucker for good ambience.they've got a set lunch for $35++ which is really cheap.though the place would be nicer at night.

5 Yan Ting at St Regis.

well.it's at st regis so i'd be expecting really good dimsum.and apparently it isnt that expensive!

6.Mimolette

another place with great ambience.it's at fairways drive and it looks great in and out.but it'll be about $100 per person.

7. Raffles grill

yeah.well.it's like over $200 per person.but ive gotta check it.sometime...dresscodes and goodfood!

HOWEVER 2 have been axed from my list after horrible reviews  .and they're bed supperclub and timbre.you've been warned.they have nice ambience no doubt.but their service sucks.

timbre has nice music, nice alfresco place to chill.but their service stinks.

which is the same for bed supperclub.cool concept.i really wanted to go.(even for the hefty cost of 200+) for dinner.but so many reviews of wayy bed service.so as much as this place sounds interesting, getting annoyed with lousy waiters with attitude, is not worth it.

and my stomach is making alot of noise now after talking about all the good food.even after the extra bowl of rice i had for lunch.(which everyone thought i couldnt finish and they were wrong!i even had an extra bowl of soup! (: )

as oliver and the boys go...

"Food, glorious food!
What wouldn't we give for
That extra bit more --
That's all that we live for"

dumb much. today i was suppose to go down to peitong primary school to teach the kids. and i did.well kinda. i went to the ex holding school which they have sinced moved from into their spanking new school. BAH. someone should totally paint away the big black words Pei Tong Primary School, on the front of the school.which was once covered by Methodist Girls' School, when we used it as a holding school like 4 years ago. it is rather confusing.and a wasted trip for me today.

anyhow.i found this totally cool webbie.

http://www.hungrygowhere.com/

lotsa recommendations for good foods.if i had truckloads of money, but a limited truckloads of money, it would be a tough decision between buying awsome clothes or dining at rocking restaurants.it's a tough call.

speaking of food.i love marks and spencers biscuit selections.it's like a whole tin box of heaven. i mean yeah i love khong guan's lemon biscuits but that's about all i like in their whole range. whereas in m&s' selection, you can safely tell forrest gump it doesnt matter you dont know what you'll get next, cos everything in the box is great. if only we view life with such optimism.it's definitely more whole cup full rather than a half cup.which is actually rather scary.

wildchild's coming out soon!
